Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Produce quotations for projects using the EPICOR system and submit them to the Sales Office Manager within dedicated timescales.
  • Review enquiries to ensure the ability to supply compliant quotations within the company’s product range.
  • Ensure all quotations are 100% accurate, including relevant margins, and comply with certification requirements.
  • Manage quote amendments pre- and post-sale to meet customer and project needs. - Raise DFA’s (Design for Approval) when required, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Communicate regularly with external customers to ensure comprehensive and compliant quotations.
  • Maintain regular customer contact regarding key quotations to address inquiries and updates.
  • Answer general technical enquiries, including specifications, certifications, and building regulations, consulting the technical team when necessary.
  • Follow all standard operating procedures and processes to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Continuously look for ways to improve the quoting process and contribute to operational efficiencies.
  • - Ensure KPIs related to estimation and customer engagement are met consistently.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in a Continuous Improvement / Production Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer / Process Engineer role
  • Educated to HNC level (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline would be beneficial.
  • Lean Management
  • Must be fully proficient in the use of software Microsoft office. Experience of 2D and / or 3D CAD would be beneficial.
  • A proven track record of implementing improvements in processes and operational effectiveness
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment with a good understanding of manufacturing processes.
