Roles & Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain Salvagnini CNC machine to cut and form steel door skins.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, and job orders to determine machine settings.
- Adjust machine parameters to achieve precision cutting and shaping according to specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct quality inspections to verify accuracy, consistency, and compliance with manufacturing standards.
- Troubleshoot minor issues with the machine and escalate complex problems to the
- maintenance team.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other team members to improve efficiency and workflow.
- Keep accurate records of production output and machine performance.
- Adhere to all Company policies.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 3 - 7 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- A recognised time-served apprenticeship/modern apprenticeship within a Mechanical
- Engineering discipline, along with either NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience operating CNC machines, preferably in a metal fabrication environment.
- Strong understanding of CNC programming and machine setup (experience with Salvagnini
- machines is an advantage).
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting.
