Are you a skilled and experienced building maintenance operative with a strong background in joinery? Do you thrive in a hands-on role where your expertise contributes to maintaining safe and secure environments? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to work within a secure children's home in Northumberland! 

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute a range of building maintenance tasks, with a focus on joinery work.
• Carry out repairs to doors, windows, furniture, and fixtures as needed.
• Contribute to the installation and refurbishment of joinery elements within the facility.
• Assist in routine inspections to identify potential maintenance needs.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a secure work environment.
• Provide excellent craftsmanship while working efficiently to meet deadlines.

Qualifications and Experience:

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent within a relevant field.
• CSCS card.
• Proficient in various joinery techniques and repair methods.
• Relevant joinery qualifications or apprenticeship completion is preferred.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within maintenance environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and a customer-service-oriented approach.
• Enhanced DBS.
• Full UK driving licence.
