GI Pro are recruiting for a Plant Mechanical Maintenance Fitter for our Electrical and Electronics waste recycling client based in Newbury

Days: Monday to Friday: 45 hours – Plus 4 hours Saturday mornings totalling 49 hours per week. Plus, overtime.

Offering a pay rate of up to £50,000 (depending on your experience)

Main Duties

Inspect and troubleshoot industrial shredders, granulators, conveyor belts and other plant machinery
Fixing faults on plant machinery or arranging for replacements to be installed
Conducting inspections on plant machinery
Carrying out routine scheduled maintenance work for Lorries
Preventative maintenance
Welding activities when necessary
Dealing with breakdowns, unplanned problems, and repairs
Checking functionality of safety systems
Fitting new parts and making sure equipment is working correctly

Attributes and Experience

Previous Plant mechanical fitting and maintenance experience
Experience in repairing mobile plant such as forklifts, Lorries or
Experience in repairing conveyor belts, industrial shredders, granulators.
Basic knowledge of electrical systems – represents an advantage, but not essential
Welding, Fault find and problem-solving
UK Driving Licence
