Our client, a leading Chinese financial institution, is seeking a Market Risk (Assistant) Vice President to oversee and monitor market risks within the firm's operations. This key role requires a profound comprehension of financial markets, risk management principles, and regulatory standards. Candidates with credit risk exposure are strongly preferred for this position.

Job responsibilities:

• Perform the risk assessment, measurement, monitoring and reporting for fixed income products, equity, derivatives and secondary market funds;
• Develop and implement the market risk appetite and risk limit framework;
• Review market risk management procedures for new products and new businesses, and continue to conduct product and business market risk assessments;
• Carry out daily market risk monitoring and reporting, including but not limited to changes in risk exposures, P&L, VaR and other various sensitivity indicators;
• Formulate market risk management policies, and regularly inspecting and evaluating the implementation of market risk management;

Job requirements: 

• Bachelor degree or above, preferred in mathematical statistics, financial engineering, risk management, finance or related discipline;
• FRM/CFA holder is preferred
• At least 5 years or above in securities companies, banks, regulatory agencies
• Sound knowledge of financial market businesses and products
• Strong quantitative analysis skills particularly in Excel, VBA and Python will be a plus
• Self-motivated, proactive, independent with organization and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
• Good Ability to identify innovative approach to existing work methods
