Shipping Coordinator (eu3-1960-575961) Inverurie, Scotland
Are you a Shipping Co-ordinator looking for a new role? We are recruiting for our client for a full time shipping coordinator on a 24 month contract. In this role you will organise the shipment of import and export orders by obtaining quotes from freight agents, preparing documentation, and coordinating with other departments as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate with customers and manage collections.
- Prepare accurate documentation, such as commercial invoices and shipping orders, ensuring compliance with destination country regulations.
- Follow International Trade Compliance procedures and regulations strictly.
- Collaborate with Sales, Production, Procurement, and Warehouse teams to plan and coordinate the transportation of materials and equipment, ensuring efficient and accurate order flow.
- Address any issues related to order flow, shipping delays, or quality control, including damaged or improperly packed goods.
- Maintain and update shipping registers with accurate information and ensure all documents are properly filed and archived.

Qualifications:
Essential:
- HND in a relevant business qualification or equivalent.
Desirable:
- CILT-related qualification.
- IATA/IMDG/ADR Dangerous Goods certification.
Experience:
Essential:
- Strong knowledge of import and export logistics, including customs procedures and Incoterms 2020.
- Experience with international sea, air, and road transport operations, including documentation requirements (CIPL, BOL, AWB, CMR, MRN).
Skills & Knowledge:
Essential:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and other relevant computer systems.
