Role Description

  • Analyse, coordinate, write and develop comprehensive PQQ/ITT responses incorporating the requirements of the specification, within strict timescales
  • Manage and maintain PQQ and ITT responses in a repository and ensure Lessons Learnt activities are undertaken on Tenders.
  • Incorporate local knowledge, evidence/research and writing style/branding ensuring bid is targeted to defined audience, consisting of an evidence base and innovative approaches as advised by experts across the organisation and best practice
  • Provide structured format and text for others contributing to bid. Quality assure, re-write for consistency/correct grammar as necessary and provide constructive feedback to ensure meaningful and succinct information is obtained
  • Review and amend draft bids considering feedback from the wider team
  • Ensure bid is submitted for review for internal quality assurance and governance processes
  • Manage Pipeline of bids and provide regular updates of timescales to the Head of Commercial
  • Work flexibly across the organisation to support Sector leaders dependent on tender activity to ensure a unified and consistent approach to bids
  • Following submission of bid, extract key information from tender and manage information in-line with information management processes and following internal feedback analysis processes and lessons learnt
  • Support team with Technical or Policy Writing when necessary
  • Provide bid best practice training on bid process, structure and quality
  • Support Business Development with any other activity as required

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous experience writing successful bid submissions
  • Strong MS Office Skills and IT Literacy
  • Proof reading skills with a keen eye for accuracy and detail, including ensuring responses adhere to word/page limits
  • Organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines while maintaining a high standard of quality
  • Communicate confidently and effectively, verbally and in writing and ability to foster credible collaborative relationships
  • Respond flexibly to the demands of the post
  • Team player who is willing to adapt to changing priorities of the business
  • Contribute openly to the team with innovations and ideas to ensure the success and development of the company
  • Relevant degree in an Engineering discipline or Business, Marketing, English
  • A confirmed working history that demonstrates excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrable commitment to and skills for developing the performance of junior colleagues
