Location: Hybrid, 2-3 day on-site in Utrecht, 2-3 days remote.
Hours: 36-40H per week

I am working with a leading motor manufacturing company that is looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join their team in Utrecht on an initial 6-month contract. This initial contract is expected to be extended.
Ideally, we are looking for someone that would be able to start this project as soon as possible, however, we can accommodate a reasonable notice period.
As a Data/Business Analyst within Measurement Data Management (MDM), your primary responsibility revolves around ensuring the collection of diverse vehicle usage data from vehicles via remote transmissions in a backend IoT application. This data will then be disseminated to various business applications, serving a wide array of business needs. Your role involves configuring the collection process from the vehicles' CAN bus and a telematics connectivity device (TCU) for transmission to the backend.
You'll be an integral part of the 'Measurement Data Management Team' (MDM team) within the Global Connected Services department.
Operating within the scrum framework, this team operates in 2-week sprints, focusing on delivering meticulously designed, developed, and tested measurement configurations aligned with specific requirements. The team has well-defined business processes and a documented Way of Working, ensuring proper handling and documentation of designs, data configurations, encountered defects, and incidents for efficient resolution.

Experience and Knowledge:
- General understanding of ICE and BEV automotive knowledge and basic comprehension of functional vehicle behavior.
- Proficiency in CAN networks, including dbc-files, can-interfaces, wiring harnesses, hex and binary calculations.
- Familiarity with SAE J1939 and FMS standards.
- Fundamental understanding of data streaming.
- Knowledge of high-frequency data transmission concepts such as RabbitMQ, Confluent, Apache Kafka.
- Experience working in Agile environments and within scrum teams.
- Experience in validating incomplete/undocumented software applications.
- (Preferred) Prior experience in validating/testing embedded software functionality.
- (Preferred) Experience in data analysis/validation, especially with large datasets.
