Are you familiar with coding and do you have a passion for data analytics and tooling? Do you want to work on high-quality IT at one of the most renowned universities in Europe? Then you’re the DevOps Engineer we’re looking for!
As a DevOps Engineer Tooling, you’ll work together with your colleagues from the Tooling Team. The team specializes in monitoring, alerting, security and operational analytics. They collect logs and metrics from applications, hybrid cloud and legacy systems and process them in the Elastic stack for analysis and visualization. They provide administrators and (security) analysts with insight into the performance of systems and cyber threats. The developments are moving towards machine learning and AI.
Responsibilities
- You develop and manage the Elastic stack, including Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana and Beats.
- You take care of (automation) of patches and updates, using configuration management and version control in GIT.
- You use REST / API for the linking of data sources from workplaces and systems.
- You use JSON when querying the search engine via the REST API and configure ETL pipelines for formatting log data, among other things using regular expression and GROK.
- You help colleagues with the visualization of data and create dashboards for monitoring.
Who are you
- You can work in a SCRUM/Agile environment.
- You have knowledge of scripting and automation with Powershell, Python or Bash; pré is knowledge of Puppet, Ansible, REST and JSON.
- You are proficient orally and in writing in both Dutch and English.

- Salary between € 2960 and € 4670 gross per month (based on 38 hours)
