As a software asset manager, you’ll be taking ownership of the software estate by bridging the gap and negotiating between key stakeholders and suppliers; you will audit and maintain the data stored within the CMDB utilising various asset management toolsets. you will also be ensuring compliance, licenses and procedures are adhered to, you’ll be keeping up to date on the latest technologies, assisting in the creation and forecast of budgets, and will also play a key role in the creation and rollout of software updates across the user estate.
You’ll have experience with working within a configuration/service environment with varied complex applications and database architectures, and a good understanding of how these hang together; most likely from a big company.
You’ll have an understanding of Asset Management technology and scanning tools preferably MC Remedy and BMC ADDM/Discovery, Configuration Management tooling, databases and querying (MS SQL).
