Data Analyst
One of our key clients in the Travel industry is currently looking for a Data Analyst, experienced with Tableau.
The main scope of the project is in building new Tableau dashboards as well as making changes to existing Tableau dashboards and reports.
The Data Analyst contractor is responsible for building the parts of analytical systems. We expect the Data Analyst to fully own the Tableau reporting part of the work. Depending on the qualification of a person, they can either: own only the Tableau part or also the workflows preparing the data for the dashboards. In either case we expect the candidate to be able to evaluate the data quality and find potential discrepancies. We expect the Data Analyst contractor to run data analyses before building the new dashboard views. The goal of such analyses is to find meaningful ways to represent the data and get feedback from the team before building a solution.
Way of work:
- Expected steps to be taken by contractor when tasked with building a new dashboard
- Identify the necessary data views given the audience / intended use of the dashboard (this part Manager / PM will support heavily)
- Create data sources for required data views. [Nice to Have]
- Evaluate data quality [Must]
- Analyze data and get feedback on it. The question we are asking here is whether the expected way to visualize data is still meaningful given the real data insights.
- Can be done with PySpark / Spark SQL [Nice to Have] or Tableau [Must]
- Build and test the dashboard in Tableau [Must]
- Automate the workflows for the dashboard [Nice to Have]
- Write documentation for the dashboard [Must]
