Due to a expansion within the business, my client are looking to add to their skilled design team with the addition of a Mechanical Design Engineer.

We are looking for an ambitious Mechanical Design Engineer. If you're a driven & highly motivated person wishing to craft out a successful and rewarding future in what is a truly unique environment, this could be the role for you.

You will be responsible for working on a variety of projects and sectors, from initial concept through to manufacturing. 

THE ROLE:

• Preparing design briefs, detailed specifications and BOM’s to meet customer requirements.
• Working on complex custom design projects using Solidworks. 2d and 3d model generation.
• Design and draughting using AutoCAD and Solidworks Software.
• Selecting appropriate materials, section sizes, and components.
• Regularly updating customers on progress.
• Working autonomously at times reporting back progress to internal stakeholders
• Work very closely with the Project Management Team to overcome any design challenges during project execution.

THE PERSON:

• 3 years experience as a Design engineer OR senior Draughtsperson.
• Degree or HND/HNC in mechanical engineering.
• Competent with both Solidworks and AutoCAD.
• Experience in design for manufacture.
• Happy to learn FEA and 3d structural stress analysis.
