Days: Monday – Thursday: 07.30am – 16:30pm & Friday: 07:30am – 12:30pm

Summary:

 

Our client is looking for someone with an engineering background and minimum 3 year's experience in shop floor for a production facilitator role in Nottingham. The role will involve processing drawings, evaluating materials and progressing jobs through an MRP system. If the candidate has no experience with MRP then they are willing to train. This is a fantastic opportunity with plenty of progression for someone looking to come off the tools and go into more of an office role whilst still working within engineering.

The role:

  • Engineering Product Drawings are submitted from the design team with will be the responsibility of the production facilitator to process
  • Production will advise on what needs ordering
  • Ordering the materials required from the drawing and production plan
  • Engineering background essential due to ability to recognise materials and processes required
  • Communicate with the supply chain
  • Feedback on challenges to the design team
  • Negotiate material costs
  • Constant communication from the design team to the shop floor

Essential Skills Required:

  • Must be able to read form engineering drawings
  • A Minimum of three year's experience within a shop floor environment to be able to understand materials, processes and time frames
  • Must come from and engineering background (ideally CNC Machines)

Desirable skills:

  • MRP experience (not essential as can be taught)
