Quality Assurance Technician

Summary: Our client in Stafford is looking for Quality Assurance Technician to perform visual & dimensional inspections, manage defects, perform production auditing and final inspections for their production department.

The company – Largest employer in Stafford. Client that does manufacturing for approximately 200,000 products per year, of which over 80% are exported. Currently looking for another member of staff due to expansion of the company.

The role:

• Conduct final inspection activities
• Conduct sample inspection activities throughout production
• Manage reported defects to product or process
• Support Continuous Improvement for the department
• Utilize manual or automated measurement and testing equipment
• Prevent non-conforming parts from proceeding to the next workstation
• Ensure quality of parts meet specification requirements
• Collect data, feedback on the quality of parts inspected
• Work with team members to find creative solutions to address complex problems
• Investigate defects and coordinate with quality engineers to rework/scrap/investigation as necessary

The candidate

Relevant Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years of related work experience in Quality or Manufacturing environment or 5+ years related work experience in Quality or Manufacturing environment.

Ability to use basic hand tools and measuring, testing devices (i.e. - dial callipers, rulers, tape measures, protractors, micrometres, gauges, etc.)

Experience in Problem Solving methodologies (A3, 8D, etc) - a benefit

Competent user of PC and software applications
