What you'll do:
As an Assistant Company Secretary, you will play a pivotal role in providing support within the company secretarial services.
- Provide comprehensive support in delivering company secretarial services, ensuring adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in preparing and managing Board of Directors' meetings, including agenda setting, minute-taking, and implementing decisions while maintaining strong corporate governance standards.
- Contribute to the development of strategic and operational objectives, ensuring alignment with the organization’s overall goals.
- Support the execution of corporate actions such as company acquisitions, disposals, formations, restructurings, and liquidations, ensuring smooth implementation.
- Maintain and foster strong working relationships with colleagues across various departments to facilitate effective collaboration.
- Monitor the corporate governance framework, assessing its effectiveness, and recommending improvements to enhance compliance and efficiency.
- Ensure proper maintenance of statutory records and registers, including preparation and filing of necessary returns with relevant authorities.

What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Assistant Company Secretary position brings an extensive experience in corporate secretarial functions
- Relevant tertiary degree or an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA), or an equivalent qualification in corporate governance or law, is essential.
- A minimum of 5-15 years of experience in a secretarial firm or a public listed company, with proven expertise in managing corporate secretarial functions, including dealing with complex governance matters and corporate actions.
- Strong knowledge of corporate secretarial duties and corporate governance principles is required, with a deep understanding of statutory obligations, compliance, and governance frameworks in both private and public sectors.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate handling of statutory records, filings, board resolutions, and compliance documentation while adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including board members, senior management, and regulatory bodies.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities, with a proactive approach to resolving challenges and ensuring smooth operations in a fast-paced environment.
