Job Title Packaging Coordinator
Department Material Control
Reporting To Logistics Manager
Role definition:
In this role you are responsible for the distribution and prioritising of all packaging requirements for production to ensure manufacturing are able to maintain efficient and effective production.
Key areas of responsibility, duties and the deliverables expected:
  • Manages, controls and coordinates all aspects of packaging to include rented, returnable and disposable packaging.
  • Compiling EDI forecast for packaging
  • Managing obsolete packaging for EOP of projects
  • Placing purchase orders with nominated suppliers for all packaging
  • Organise and circulates relevant information to key stakeholders and project team members in regards to packaging
  • Manage and control rented packaging onsite 
  • Raising daily material request pick sheet for packaging
  • Monitoring deliveries against current stocks
  • Daily checking of deliveries of packaging
  • Controlling stock movements from various sites within the company for all rented and returnable packaging
  • Stock adjustments to the system
  • Reconciliation of containers
  • Signing off works orders.
  • Amending purchase orders to reflect the correct pricing for all packaging
Required education, skills, training or experience:
  • Should be physically fit.
  • Packaging knowledge and or background in packaging is not essential but preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Numerical and focused on accuracy.
  • Pays attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Should be a team player and have ability to coordinate with fellow workers.
  • Conscientious and flexible.
  • Remains calm under pressure.
