Phoenix has teamed up with an independent financial services firm headquartered in Ireland, with a global presence through their international offices. Our client's core focus is providing specialised accounting services to investment vehicles, collectively managing assets valued at nearly US$700 billion.
Position
Our client is currently seeking a trainee accountant who has 0-3 years experience in which they will provide training support for ACA exams. Our client has two roles which is based in the Limerick office and the Bantry office in Cork.
Responsibilites
- Preparing financial statements for our clients.
- Crafting financial highlights disclosures.
- Generating periodic management accounts.
- Creating supporting Excel schedules and notes.
- Liaising with external stakeholders such as investment managers, auditors, and administrators.
- Presenting financial statements for review to the Practice Manager/Principal.
- You will also assist in researching complex transactions to ensure accurate accounting treatment.
Requirements
- A related Honours degree, such as Accounting.
- Excellent communication skills, effective time management abilities, initiative, and preferably some industry experience in an accounting role.
- Familiarity with IFRS and GAAP accounting principles, proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
- Part Qualified ACA is desirable but not essential
