Construction Logistics Manager

Braintree

Our client, a very successful construction Company based in Braintree is currently looking for an experienced Construction Logistics Manager to join the team.

The ideal candidate should have strong logistics experience with a main contractor within construction.

You will be running major construction projects, looking after all logistic processes on site, from waste management, traffic management, welfare facilities management to lifting operations.

Experienced construction site logistics manager required to ensure the management of materials, sub-contractors, traffic and access to a busy construction site is carried out in a safe and timely manner.

Candidates will need excellent communication skills with the ability to work well under pressure, be I.T. literate with a wealth of construction management experience, ideally in a logistics and construction management type role.

Ideally the candidate should hold a CSCS card

Responsibilities:

• Traffic management.
• Public liaison.
• Segregation of pedestrians.
• Plan the site set-up to move labour, plant and materials effectively.
• Plan external and external logistics routes through the project phases.
• Pre-plan the usage of key assets.
• Create a secure site.
• Manage installation of site accommodation.
• Create operational procedures and method statements.
