A leading mining business based in Zambia, is looking to hire an experienced Management Accountant Specialist to drive financial efficiency and support strategic decision-making within its operations.

This position will play a key role in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure optimal financial performance whilst also supporting management with financial modelling.

The successful candidate will have an extensive background in management accounting, business partnering and financial modelling, all within the mining sector.

Key Qualifications:

• Full ACCA, CIMA or CA qualification.
• 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in senior management roles.
• Strong analytical experience handling large volumes of financial data.
• In-depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Mining industry experience a non-negotiable.

Key Duties:

• Lead the preparation and development of annual and periodic budgets.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insightful commentary on financial performance.
• Monitor cost controls and recommend strategies for efficiency improvements.
• Review capital expenditure requests and provide guidance on optimal spending.
• Prepare regular management reports and provide data-driven insights to senior leadership.
• Support senior management with financial analysis and scenario modelling.
