Data Analyst (CR/4002636) Amsterdam, Netherlands

In this role, you will be leading the development of data products to deliver digital solutions for a recently launched peer-to-peer second-hand marketplace. As part of this initiative, you will join a dynamic and cross-functional product team, which includes professionals from Product, Engineering, and Design (PEDX). Together, you will design, implement, and deploy scalable digital products.

In addition to your role in the product team, you will also be an integral part of the Data & Machine Learning job family, collaborating closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists and Data Analysts. Your responsibilities will be a mix of understanding business needs, designing data solutions and of course writing code to bring those solutions to life.

As the main senior data analyst, your primary role will be to drive data-driven decision-making within the product team. 

You will be expected to:

  • Conduct complex data analyses, particularly using SQL.
  • Translate complex findings into actionable insights for business stakeholders within the peer-to-peer marketplace.
  • Work collaboratively as a Data Analyst within a multi-functional product team.

 

Requirements:

  • A strong background in analytics, computer science, econometrics, or a related field with at least an MS degree or equivalent;
  • Proven experience as a data analyst, with a minimum of 5 years in a mid-level role;
  • Passion for using math, code, and data to derive insights from large datasets to solve real-life, fast-paced business problems;
  • Ability to translate complex findings into actionable insights for business stakeholders;
  • Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools, preferably Power BI;
  • Experience working with large datasets and databases;
  • Solid understanding of statistical concepts and methodologies;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills;
  • Hands-on and positive attitude;
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities;
  • Experience with dbt and Google Cloud is a plus;
  • Knowledge of two-sided marketplaces is a plus
