QA Tester

- Experinece with the iPTV Platform
- Some understanding of basic functionality of STB
- Good understanding of cables and their interaction with TV
- Good understanding of functioning of smart phones and mobile devices (Apple, Android, WP7 etc)
- Perform User Interface testing (Smoke, Regression and Functional) on middleware platform using combination of different hardware (different models of TV and different models of STB and Gaming Device)
- Review Business and Functional requirement documents and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Create manual test script to simulate user experience for all features of middleware platform, application, STB, Gaming Devices, smart phones, tablets etc.
- Keep manual test scripts upto date
- Test scripts should simulate customer experience and identify user interface issues before customers face it in the field.
- Perform testing in all environments (DevVM, Devrep, Preprod, Atlantis and Production)
- Execute Automated test script on middleware platform.
- Knowledge of wireshark, VNC etc tools used for issue investigation.
- Actively participate in QA and Development process improvements.
- User Test Management tools (Quality Centre) for QA process and deliverables
- Ensure that test cases and defects are always upto date in QC.
- User Caliber for requirement management tasks
- Follow NTI process and deliver accordingly on projects
- Perform QA tasks in timely manner.
- Participate in QA sessions
