Software Engineer III
Direct Hire – Boston, MA
Summary:
As the Software Engineer Level 3 for Windows Mobile SDKs, you will work with a team of software developers focused on SDKs for mobile commerce. You will design, develop, maintain, and test software written for mainly Windows but also learning Android and iOS; work with the Product Management team to analyze user needs and develop mobile solutions to optimize operational efficiency; confer with team members to solve day-to-day technical challenges as they arise; work with QA and technical support to fix identified defects; and participate in the sprint planning and review processes.
Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:
· Design, develop, maintain, and test mobile software
· Track technical issues and implement solutions in a prompt manner
· Work with the Product Management team to analyze user needs and develop mobile solutions to optimize operational efficiency
· Confer with team members to solve day-to-day technical challenges as they arise
· Work with QA and technical support to fix identified defects
· Participate in sprint planning and review processes
· Maintain and recommend improvements to existing products
· Promote best practice development habits and highest product quality standards through regular code reviews

Competencies / Skills Requirements:
- Programming experience in Windows mobile SDKs
· Substantial expertise in one or more modern programming language including C++
· Excellent object-oriented analysis and design skills
· Experience with Multi-Threading and memory management
· Strong communication, presentation, and technical skills
· Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, BitBucket
· Experience within Retail, QSR and/or Digital Payments solutions a plus
· Knowledge of emerging mobile technologies, standards and best practices
· Knowledge of current mobile UI design concepts/technologies a plus
- Deep technical knowledge of mobile application development
- Understanding of web services technologies such as SOAP, REST
Required Education/Experience Requirements:
The position requires a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field, plus relevant experience. Two (2) to five (5) years of Software development experience.
