We are searching for junior Product Developers and product Designers. Our Cheltenham based client are offering up to 24kpa in return for at least 1 years’ experience in product development. You will be self-motivated, proactive and organised and must have a creative flair!
Day to day you will be involved in briefing the design team with concept ideas and guiding them; taking briefs and working on retail specific projects for the account management team to take to buying meetings; ensuring that you maximize margin but are not compromising quality; liaising daily with factories throughout the production process; working with licensors throughout the development of licensed product; working with the technical team; keeping on top of the critical path management; working closely with supply chain and logistics; being aware at all times of trends within the market, competitor activity and how to stay ahead.
It is essential you have a Degree in Product Design or another relevant degree plus a very strong commercial sense and be able to express this creatively and commercially. You will not only possess an abundance of creative flair and have a keen eye for design but you will also have good knowledge of the product manufacturing process and a good understanding of product process and procedure and experience of assisting with the management of a critical path.
Excellent communication skills essential plus ability to work under pressure.
