Events Development Manager (BBBH1459) Gloucestershire, England
A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Events Development Manager to join our highly successful client based in North Gloucestershire operating within the science and technology sector. Working as part of the Membership & Training Department the successful candidate will take responsibility for organising and setting up a range of events, promotional activities, in-house conferences as well as external exhibitions, ensuring that delegate attendance is maximised at all times. This will require close collaboration with external organisations, a wide range of technical experts from across the business itself as well as the in-house marketing and training and events teams.
To apply you should ideally have a relevant degree and/or equivalent experience in events, conference and exhibition organisation and business development, with a relevant membership of a professional organising such as ABPCO or CIM being of advantage. You will need to be a confident self-starter with excellent communication skills and able to network at all levels in order to represent the company professionally. We’ll also be looking for good commercial acumen, the ability to spot a business opportunity and to make it happen, excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to keep to budges, deadlines and targets.
This is a full time permanent opportunity on offer for a salary of up to £34K pa with the requirement to be prepared to work weekends and excess hours as required by any of the projects or events as well to travel and work overseas as and when required.
