Senior IT Engineer – Escalation Point – City Centre
Cathcart Associates are helping a client based in the heart of Liverpool to find a Senior IT Engineer on a permanent basis, The company in question have a very low staff turnover and rarely hire into this team so it’s a great time to get onboard with a company that will look after you and support your personal development through funding industry certifications and having the chance to work with new emerging technology.
On a day to day basis you will be acting as the end point of escalation five talented 1st and 2nd Line Engineers, while working on critical infrastructure projects for a highly established client of theirs where you will work directly with them and the Service Delivery Manger working to constantly improve their IT infrastructure using the latest technology to make sure they are getting the best of their IT Systems. You will be responsible for all aspects of the client’s IT infrastructure including Storage, Backups, networking, and servers making sure they are all working efficiently and consult on what technology/ methods should be improved.
The organisation pride themselves on their friendly environment, the team are laid back with little hierarchy, so much so that the team regularly socialise with senior members of the business. They will offer flexible working hours to come in earlier and leave early or come in later and leave later to work around your personal life. The current Senior Engineer is leaving in a few weeks and we are looking to get someone on board ASAP to get the longest handover as possible, Interviews are taking place in the next 10 days . This role offers great career progression and would suit someone who is in a 3rd line role who is looking for the next logical step in their career.
Technical Skills:
** Office 365 Administration
** Storage – NetApp
** Networking – Switches, Routers, LAN & WAN
** Active Directory – Group Policy admin
** Windows Server administration
** SharePoint administration
** Fault Diagnosis and solution delivery
** MS Exchange
** Configuring hardware and software
** ITIL
Main duties:
** Support and maintain physical / virtual sever office 365, exchange and desktop operating systems.
** Provide maintenance across IT hardware/ software and storage platforms
** Being a technical Escalation point for 1st and 2nd Line Engineer
** Spearhead any new project from planning to implementation and support
