As a growing manufacturer in the CPG space, our client has an immediate need for a strong assistant buyer. This role will have the opportunity to grow within the organization and learn all facets of the organization.
Job description
- Participate and develop sourcing strategies to drive cost saving initiatives.
- Understanding and ability to generate purchase orders to suppliers
- Work with ERP data to maintain accurate results
- Execute the order process from placement to follow up to ensure timely delivery.
- Review of purchasing/cost modeling of finished goods, supplies, and components
- Interact with suppliers and participate in on-site visits as well as conduct quality checks
Who we are looking for
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or related field
- 0-3 years of Procurement experience
- Excellent communication skills and strong business partnership abilities
- Ability to work in a team setting, have a positive attitude and strong work ethic
