An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Head of Business Intelligence with a proven track record of driving high performance.

Drawing upon your knowledge of how business intelligence is applied to drive organisational performance, you will strategically evaluate how best to use BI to provide insights to the value drivers that impact the organisation and how.Through this means, you will evaluate the systems already in place and will develop a strategy for future system development- including how different systems could interact. The result will lead you to develop an outstanding MIS service which provides reliable, comprehensive, relevant and up to date information and reporting systems aligned to the business needs. The calibre of candidate we are looking for will have strong analytical skills, in particular, data, financial and business analysis with a strong working knowledge of providing BI analytics and business performance reports. You will have an excellent knowledge of database technologies with a particular emphasis on data warehousing, data mining, ETL and dedicated analytical databases. Previous experience developing and applying performance improvement measures such as KPIs, KRIs and PIs are also a must.

The successful candidates will be Prince2 qualified and will hold a management qualification at L4 or above. As the Head of BI, you will inherit a pre-existing team and therefore previous experience of establishing a BI team would be advantageous but not essential. More importantly you will bring out the best in people through positive interactions and your natural ability to influence and build trust across levels.

Due to the nature of the role, flexibility is required with regards to travel and working patterns. In return you can expect a healthy salary in the region of £50-70k accompanied by an average salary pension scheme and generous annual leave entitlements.
