Executive Director

Executive Director

Location:  Manchester, England
Salary:  GBP46564 - GBP48529 per annum + pro rata

We’re over the moon to be heading up the search party for Manchester Care and Repair’s new Executive Director. Has there ever been a more important time to champion and ensure the independence and safety of older and disabled people in your community?

Manchester Care and Repair’s varied portfolio includes practical support with home repairs right through to information and guidance on welfare benefits. After a period of successfully delivering commissioned contracts, the charity is now looking for an Executive Director to lead them towards the next chapter and to retain, sustain and diversity their offering.

We’re looking for evolution, not revolution. Manchester Care and Repair is a stable charity with a loyal, committed workforce and low staff turnover, so you’ll be an inspiring and collaborative leader who can galvanize an already engaged team. Whilst strategic thinking and planning skills are absolutely essential, there is also an operational element so you’ll need to be comfortable rolling your sleeves up and making things happen.

Who are we looking for?
We’re happy to explore candidates from a range of charity leadership backgrounds, as long as you can evidence previous happy cultures you’ve created and nurtured. You’ll be able to demonstrate where you’ve breathed life into vision and mission through staff teams and service delivery.

Relationship management with internal and external stakeholders is crucial; key relationships lie with the local authority and NHS commissioners in particular. You’ll know how to navigate the public sector landscape. You’re an experienced negotiator and someone who can spot and maximise potential opportunities. Most of all, an empowering leader who brings out the best in others.

Flexible, life and family-friendly organisation. This role is working part time 22.5 hours per week.

Actual salary: £28,316 - £29,511
